Compassionate breastfeeding support for families in and around Welwyn Garden City.

My name is Fiona. I am a mother of three children, and we live in Welwyn Garden City. I work part time in education.
After relatively smooth breastfeeding journeys with my first two children, things were very different with baby number three. When feeding became really challenging, I reached out to an IBCLC for support — and that experience changed everything. I developed a deep passion for evidence-based breastfeeding support, and in 2020 I began training as a breastfeeding peer supporter with a national charity. From there I volunteered locally within NHS breastfeeding services, qualified as a breastfeeding counsellor, and began volunteering on a national breastfeeding helpline. I went on to complete a specialist breastfeeding course, log over 1,000 volunteering hours, and sit my IBCLC exam in London in April 2026.
Since qualifying as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) I am proud to continue my volunteering work and I am now excited to offer warm, personalised breastfeeding support in the comfort of your own home — locally and in the surrounding areas.

Testimonials
Rebecca
Fiona has supported me with both feeding journeys with my children; her caring and approachable nature means no question ever feels silly. She has a wealth of knowledge and works with you to find a balance and a way to make feeding work for you and your family. Fiona has a passion for breastfeeding and supports nursing parents to find a position and make adjustments so that feeding is comfortable. Fiona is able to back up her support with research and reputable resources. She has saved both my feeding journeys and found a way to balance my stubbornness to persevere with breastfeeding, working with me to find a solution that helped my babies gain weight after their initial loss. I would recommend anyone on their breastfeeding journey to work with Fiona.
